Africa Newsroom — Moroccan athletes shine at Dar Bouazza’s ‘Darb Race’ half-marathon — Moroccan runners dominated the 16th edition of the ‘Darb Race’ half-marathon in Dar Bouazza, showcasing the continent’s athletic prowess.
In the men’s race, El Mahjoub Dazza claimed the title after covering the 42.195 km distance in an impressive 2h 09min 43sec, ahead of his compatriot Omar Ait Chitachen, who finished in 2h 10min. This victory marked Dazza’s remarkable performance in the half-marathon event.
The Moroccan contingent also dominated the half-marathon (21 km) with Yassine El Alami securing the top spot in 1h 03min 02sec, followed closely by Said Ibssoui in 1h 03min 11sec. This triumphant showing was further highlighted by Keltoum Bouasriya, who won the women’s race with a time of 2:29:49, followed by Hasna Zahi of Morocco and Ethiopian runner Zenebu in the second and third positions, respectively.
