IVF Zimbabwe Offers Hope and Expertise to Infertile Couples. Harare, Zimbabwe — Jane Sibanda’s journey to motherhood was fraught with challenges, a narrative that has become all too common for many couples struggling with infertility. After years of unsuccessful attempts to conceive naturally, Jane and her husband turned to IVF Zimbabwe, a fertility clinic that has been bringing hope to countless families in the country.
Jane’s story began with routine gynaecological consultations, followed by a series of investigations and consultations with various specialists. Despite undergoing dye tests to check for blocked fallopian tubes, the doctors were unable to provide a clear medical explanation for her infertility. Her husband’s participation was equally vital, as sperm retrieval was required for fertilisation. After the embryos were transferred into Jane’s womb, she endured the anxious “two-week wait “before receiving the joyous news of her pregnancy.
Jane’s first IVF cycle was successful, and she is now the proud mother of a three-year-old daughter.
She is currently pregnant with her second child through a frozen embryo transfer, a process she described as easier and cheaper than the first. Jane credits the IVF Zimbabwe team for their patience and kindness, describing them as a “family “who supported her through every step.

To date, the centre has helped bring 379 IVF babies into the world, with 57 births this year alone, averaging one IVF baby born every week.
The clinic’s services are attracting patients not only from Zimbabwe but also from neighboring countries such as Mozambique, Kenya, Botswana, and Namibia, as well as Zimbabweans living abroad, particularly from the United Kingdom. Jane’s story is a testament to the transformative power of medical innovation and compassionate care.
