LIBREVILLE, Gabon — The Gabonese Press Agency reported that on Thursday, Vice-President Hermann Immongault launched a two-day workshop in Libreville. The event, themed “Understanding the National Growth and Development Plan (PNCD) to Develop Provincial Growth and Development Plans (PPCD), “aimed to train local elected officials on the strategic PNCD document.
During the workshop, Immongault highlighted the necessity for the PNCD to be more than just a document, emphasizing its role as a transformative tool. He stressed the importance of the document’s adoption by local leaders, calling it an “absolute imperative.”Minister of Planning Adrien Nguema Mba furthered the discussion by framing the workshop as the beginning of significant projects.
He outlined the preparation of provincial and local development plans and addressed the state of decentralization, encouraging officials to fully engage with the PNCD. Mba also advised officials to familiarize themselves with the PNCD before presenting structural projects during council meetings.
