Luanda, Angola — A deadly deluge struck Luanda, Angola, on Saturday, leaving three individuals dead and over 4,180 homes submerged, according to ANGOP.
The Provincial Civil Protection and Fire Services of Luanda reported that two children, aged 3 and 6, drowned in Mulenvos municipality, while an adult in their 30s died in the Cerâmica neighborhood of Cacuaco.
The worst — affected area was Talatona, where around 3,000 homes were flooded across the Honga, “Baghdá, “Kifica, “Dangereux, “and “10 de Outubro “neighborhoods in Benfica commune. Kilamba Kiaxi was next, with 1,100 homes affected.
The heavy rains also caused the collapse of five trees, overflow of two basins, damage to two electricity stations, and flooding of several streets. CPM/ASS/DOJ.
