Gabon: ENDOFI Gabon Association Hosts Endometriosis Awareness Event. LIBREVILLE, Gabon — 25 March 2026 (AGP) – The ENDOFI Gabon association, dedicated to combating endometriosis, held an awareness event at the Libreville Chamber of Commerce this week.
The event, themed “Sortons du silence!”.
(Let’s break the silence! ), aimed to shed light on the often-misunderstood condition, according to the Gabonese Press Agency.
The president of ENDOFI Gabon, Tegh — Yess Moutchinga, emphasized the need to dismantle the taboo surrounding endometriosis.
Officials commented on the matter.
The event featured poignant testimonials from association members, highlighting the experiences of affected patients. Dr.
Marcelle Abeme, a medical professional, and a psychologist provided a medical presentation of the disease and offered guidance and advice for better support of those affected.
Through this initiative, ENDOFI Gabon seeks to enhance public awareness, improve understanding of endometriosis, reduce related healthcare costs, and foster a dialogue around the condition, which remains relatively unknown.
The association emphasizes that the event is part of a broader effort to establish a constructive dialogue between patients, healthcare professionals, and anyone interested in learning more about endometriosis.
