Senegal, Mali, Morocco, Cameroon, Egypt, Nigeria, Algeria, and defending champions Ivory Coast comprise the remaining field.
The tournament enters its decisive phase with two matches scheduled each day. Friday’s fixtures include Mali versus Senegal at Ibn Batouta Stadium in Tangier, followed by Cameroon against Morocco at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat. Saturday features Algeria facing Nigeria at Marrakesh Stadium, with Egypt meeting Ivory Coast at Adrar Stadium in Agadir.
Morocco’s Brahim Diaz leads all scorers with four goals through the round of 16. Five players have recorded three goals each: Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen, Mali’s Lassine Sinayoko, Morocco’s Ayoub El Kaabi, Egypt’s Mohamed Salah, and Algeria’s Riyad Mahrez. Nigeria and Algeria enter the quarterfinals as the only teams maintaining perfect records.
