In Johannesburg, South Africa, Toyota and Ford have announced the recall of several vehicles due to safety concerns. Toyota has informed the National Consumer Commission that 58 Hino 700 series vehicles are being recalled for a fuel pump issue. Ford, on the other hand, is recalling 438 Ranger XLT and Wildtrak models, as well as 26 Puma models, due to potential failures in the Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve.

The affected Ford vehicles were sold between February and 18 March 2025, while the Puma models were sold between 28 April 2022 and 25 September 2023.
