Sudan Reports Capture of Foreign Fighters as RSF Commander is Killed. Khartoum, Sudan — The Sudanese military has reported the capture of several South Sudanese nationals allegedly fighting alongside the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) during recent operations in central Sudan.
According to official statements, the individuals were taken into custody on Thursday in the towns of Kazqil and al — Rayash, located within North Kordofan State.
Sources close to the matter indicate that the Sudanese government intends to provide formal evidence to the government of South Sudan regarding the participation of these elements in the conflict. This development follows a period of heightened military activity in the Kordofan region, which includes the North, West, and South states.
In a separate development, a drone strike conducted by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) resulted in the death of Hamid Ali Abubakar, a senior security adviser to RSF commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.
According to reports from reports, the strike occurred near Zalingei, the capital of Central Darfur. Abubakar was identified as the leader of the “al-Saif al-Battar “unit, a military group operating primarily in the northern, central, and western regions of Darfur.
