Marrakech — SAP has formalized a strategic partnership with Smart Africa, marking a significant milestone in the alliance’s efforts to advance Africa’s digital agenda. The agreement was inked amidst the bustling activities of GITEX Africa 2026, a platform for fostering long-term digital growth across the continent.
The partnership, which involves African countries, international organizations, and private sector entities, aims to enhance organizational operations through the integration of business applications, data, and artificial intelligence. This strategic move is expected to bolster resilience and decision-making capabilities, particularly in sectors like supply chain management, which heavily rely on reliable data.
Hicham Iraqi Houssaini, Managing Director of SAP Francophone Africa, highlighted the cooperative nature of the partnership, emphasizing the company’s commitment to contributing to Africa’s ongoing transformations.
SAP’s focus on key sectors such as healthcare, infrastructure, and education is aimed at enhancing traceability, operational transparency, and management systems. The SAP Young Professionals Program (YPP) in Francophone Africa is a cornerstone of this commitment, providing training and development aligned with market demands.
