A video predicting a plane crash in Tema, Ghana, has resurfaced on social media following a real — life incident that occurred on March 16, 2026.
The video, posted by a local prophet known as Karma President on TikTok in November 2025, has sparked debate and discussion across the nation. In it, Karma President predicts a new aviation disaster, which has now come to pass with the tragic crash near Oninku Park in Tema.
On the fateful day, a light aircraft en route from Ho to Accra crashed, resulting in the deaths of the pilot, Frank Donkor Junior, and his brother, Elijah Nana Yaw Donkor. The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has since launched an investigation into the crash.
The video has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times on TikTok, Facebook, and X. While some Ghanaians believe Karma President possesses a genuine gift and consider the prophecy as evidence of his abilities, others argue that prophets often make vague predictions, making it easy to claim a co-incidence after the fact.
The discussions surrounding the prophecy have delved into deeper questions about the role of spirituality, prophecy, and faith in interpreting events in African societies. In a deeply religious country like Ghana, these debates have significant implications beyond mere social media buzz.
Frank Donkor Junior, a respected instructor with over 15 years of experience, was particularly mourned by the Ghana aviation community. His death, along with that of his brother, has been a profound loss for their family. Karma President has not sought to capitalize on the event publicly, according to his supporters. His detractors, however, remain steadfast in their belief that a vague prophecy is not proof of any special ability.
