Opposition MP Muwanga Kivumbi from the Butambala region reported that security forces killed ten of his campaign staff during a raid on his home.
He also accused the police of shooting his supporters after they attempted to set fire to a counting center and a police station.
An opposition lawyer told AFP that more than 600 people had been arrested in post-election protests.
The lawyer, Erias Lukwago, added that all of his clients deny the accusations and many claim they were picked up at home by police and detained before appearing in court on charges they were not aware of.
The Ugandan army and President Museveni’s son have provided the official account of the violence and the actions taken by the security forces.
In contrast, Bobi Wine’s account suggests that the government’s actions were illegal and unjustified.
