Casablanca, Morocco — The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) and the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) have entered into a strategic partnership to enhance investment security and trust in Morocco. The agreement marks a collaborative effort to reinforce the nation’s investment environment through integrated security and facilitation mechanisms.
The partnership is anchored on two primary objectives. The first involves the integration of Morocco’s electronic national identity card (CNIE) functionalities into AMDIE services, utilizing the national trusted third-party infrastructure developed by the DGSN. This integration aims to facilitate secure digital authentication of identity cards and their holders, thereby safeguarding both citizen interests and state security.
The second pillar of the agreement is centered on capacity building and expertise exchange. Both entities are committed to providing specialized training on combating document fraud, identity theft, and economic and financial crimes, including money laundering. This initiative seeks to strengthen Morocco’s defenses against such activities.
The DGSN and AMDIE’s partnership underscores a commitment to fostering an investment climate that is built on trust, performance, and innovation. The collaboration is anticipated to bolster Morocco’s appeal to investors while safeguarding the Kingdom’s strategic interests.
