Mogadishu, Somalia — The Federal Government of Somalia’s Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation convened a high-level meeting on Monday to discuss strategies for enhancing public service delivery within the aviation sector.
The meeting, chaired by Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, H.
E. Mohamed Farah Nuh, aimed to strengthen service delivery, improve institutional performance, and reinforce coordination among departmental directors.
During the meeting, Minister Nuh highlighted the significance of fostering strong working relationships between senior leadership and departmental directors.
He was briefed by the Director General, Mr. Omar Ali Afrah, on the ongoing implementation of daily operations, with a focus on modernization and rehabilitation of the Ministry’s headquarters.
The Director General also presented a long — term strategic framework for the development of Somalia’s transport and civil aviation sectors.
Minister Nuh commended the Director General and departmental leadership for their dedication and hard work. He directed departmental directors to improve service quality, accelerate priority initiatives, and develop clear operational plans and strategic targets for the year 2026.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to enhance inter — departmental coordination to achieve tangible results.
