Beloved South African singer Lira, known as Lerato Molapo, is scheduled to return to the stage at Johannesburg’s Lyric Theatre on 18 April, marking her first public performance since suffering a stroke in 2022.

The event will feature a one — woman show titled ‘Still Here’, where Lira, who has been unable to speak, read, or write following her stroke, plans to share her journey through music, movement, and inspiration. She will perform iconic hits in English, Zulu, and Sotho, along with new songs. Lira spoke about her recovery and return to music, reflecting on her years of reclaiming her voice and confidence.
