MOUILA, Gabon — On April 4, 2026, the Minister of Commerce, SMEs-PMEs, and Youth Entrepreneurship, Gninga Chaning Zenaba, visited Mouila, the capital of Ngounié province in southern Gabon, to hand over 30 tricycles and 40 carts to local entrepreneurs. This distribution aimed to strengthen economic infrastructure and support local businesses, as reported by the Gabonese Press Agency.
During her two — day visit, Minister Zenaba toured agricultural and commercial facilities, engaging with entrepreneurs to pinpoint the challenges they face. The objective was to assess the immediate needs across various sectors. She highlighted that the initiative is in line with President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema’s inclusive economic vision.
The entrepreneurs, who were selected based on criteria such as Gabonese nationality and a valid driving license, expressed gratitude for the support, viewing it as a means to boost their operations and combat unemployment. This move signifies a pivotal shift in the government’s approach to supporting SMEs/PMEs in the region, with hopes for sustainable economic growth.
