In Libreville, Gabon, the Ministry of Public Function and Strengthening of Capacities marked a significant milestone on Wednesday by initiating the launch of a single window service aimed at expediting the administrative regularization process for public sector employees. This information was confirmed through a press release from the ministry, received by the Gabonese Press Agency (AGP).
According to the ministry, the first day of operation saw the processing of over 2,000 files, encompassing titles, promotions, reassignments, and retirement procedures for the affected staff. Specifically addressing the issue of retirement, Minister Laurence Ndong directed relevant services to anticipate the handling of 2026 files, ensuring a dignified departure for the concerned employees after years of service to the state.
The launch day was dedicated to the placement of visas by directors general, a step prior to the signing by competent authorities, followed by transmission to the vice — president of the government for final validation. This new initiative is part of the implementation of the 100-day action plan assigned to the ministry by President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, with the goal of regularizing 12,000 administrative situations in 2026.
