Gabon Celebrates 11th Anniversary of Professional Footballers Association. LIBREVILLE, Gabon — The Association nationale des footballeurs professionnels du Gabon (ANFPG) marked its 11th anniversary with a series of events held at its headquarters in the Malibé 1 neighborhood of Akanda, Libreville, according to the Agence Gabonaise de Presse.
The celebration commenced with an ordinary general assembly where members of the ANFPG reviewed the season’s performance and general activities, revealed Dr.
Axel Nguema Edou, the Vice — president of the association.
The assembly also addressed various topics, including the national championships, new memberships, and the planned awareness tour.
A discussion on the non — restart of the National Foot féminin, a women’s football league, was also featured in the assembly.
Dr. Nguema Edou presented new programs to delegates and offered an outlook on an upcoming workshop focused on the well-being of footballers facing crises.
Post the assembly, members of the ANFPG visited the Raponda Walker laboratory and concluded the event with a gala dinner.
The ANFPG, which represents professional footballers in Gabon, has been instrumental in advocating for the rights and welfare of its members.
