Gabon Signs Convention to Support Student Entrepreneurship. LIBREVILLE, Gabon — On January 28, 2026, the Gabonese Ministry of Commerce, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Youth Entrepreneurship, led by Minister Zenaba Gninga Chaning, signed a collaboration agreement with the non-governmental organization (NGO) HOSEA, focusing on the development of student entrepreneurship. This information was confirmed by the Gabonese Press Agency (AGP).
The agreement comes after a recent meeting between Minister Chaning and HOSEA representatives, where the NGO presented its mission, including the “Pitch for Impact “project. This project aims to showcase students’end-of-cycle work, promote innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, and facilitate young people’s professional integration.
The convention reflects a shared commitment between the ministry and HOSEA to pool their resources in mentoring, guiding, and promoting young entrepreneurs.
It aligns with President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema’s economic diversification strategy, which emphasizes youth, entrepreneurship, and innovation as key drivers of sustainable job creation. Through this partnership, the Ministry of Commerce reiterates its commitment to supporting initiatives that empower young people and strengthen the national entrepreneurial fabric, in line with the President’s vision for inclusive and sustainable development.
Further details regarding the implementation and expected outcomes of the agreement are expected to be released in the coming days.
