Libreville, Gabon — The board of Gabon’s public-service training school met Wednesday to lock in its 2026 budget and chart tighter courses for incoming civil servants, according to official statements. Minister for the Civil Service Laurence Ndong told the session that the École de Préparation aux Carrières Administratives (EPCA) has reached 70 % of its 2025 targets despite “budgetary constraints,” a government communiqué released in Libreville. Ndong described the two-year programme for new baccalaureate graduates as “a pillar” of the 2024-2028 modernisation plan now under way across state ministries.
Board members endorsed the school’s activity report, next-year action plan and audited accounts, documents that will now go to the finance ministry for final signature. Director-general Rodrigues Mikolo Banaka said the validated budget “guarantees continuity” for both initial training and continuing-education modules aimed at officers already in post. Official statements indicate the school will expand short courses in digital administration and financial management, though course numbers and enrolment figures were not disclosed.
Further details are expected after the next cabinet review.
