CAIRO, EGYPT — Egypt and Apache Corporation have jointly announced the discovery of substantial natural gas reserves in the Western Desert. This significant find is anticipated to bolster Egypt’s energy sector and strengthen its strategic position in the region.
The reserves were identified through a collaborative venture involving the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and Apache Corporation. The discovery site, Al Amal, is situated roughly 450 kilometers southwest of Cairo.
