Abuja — In a significant move to ease traffic congestion during the Easter holiday, Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, officially opened a section of the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway. Umahi detailed the road’s history, explaining that it was inherited under the MTN tax credit and had been at a standstill until he appealed to President Tinubu. The minister revealed that 50 per cent of the road would be modeled after the Lagos-Calabar coastal road, with a focus on durability and minimal maintenance. “The project was awarded before 2023, but there was no meaningful progress, “Umahi. “.
