PRETORIA, South Africa — President Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed two new justices to the Constitutional Court of South Africa. Justice Nambitha Dambuza-Mayosi and Justice Katharine Savage were selected following consultations with Chief Justice Mandisa Maya and political party leaders in Parliament.
Dambuza — Mayosi, currently a Judge of the Supreme Court of Appeal since June 2015, brings more than three decades of legal experience to her new role. She previously served as the acting President of the Supreme Court of Appeal. Savage, a Judge of the Western Cape High Court since 2015 and the Labour Appeal Court since 2024, joins the Constitutional Court.
In a statement, President Ramaphosa expressed his well wishes to the new justices, emphasizing their long — standing dedication to justice and the South African Constitution.
