Cameroon: Our Lady Seat of Wisdom College Set for Digital Upgrade with New Computers. Fontem, Cameroon — Students at Our Lady Seat of Wisdom College in Fontem, Lebialem Division, will soon have access to a significant digital learning resource upgrade.
A new initiative by diaspora organizations aims to bolster Information and Communication Technology (ICT) within the school.
Spearheaded by the Lebang Cultural and Development Organisation (LECUDO-USA) in collaboration with the Lebialem Cultural and Development Association (LECDA), the project is set to donate 30 computers to the college.
The initiative also includes plans to connect the school to Starlink satellite internet, providing students and teachers with free 24-hour internet connectivity.
The donation is expected to commence at the end of March 2026.

The donation aims to strengthen ICT education and equip students with essential digital skills.
The Principal of Our Lady Seat of Wisdom College, Ambeno Jean Aristide, welcomed the initiative, highlighting its potential to enhance the learning environment. Officials commented on the matter.
The principal also noted that the new computers will be beneficial for students preparing for the GCE examinations.
The satellite — based internet service is expected to offer stable and high-speed connectivity, enabling full utilization of the computers once installed.
The ICT project will extend beyond one institution, with an additional 30 computers set to be provided to Government Bilingual High School, Fontem. Over the years, LECUDO-USA, LECDA-USA, and other organizations have been instrumental in mobilizing resources for education, healthcare, and community development projects in Lebialem.
The ICT initiative is expected to complement ongoing efforts to improve learning conditions and prepare students for the digital economy. Once completed, the initiative is expected to transform ICT learning in both schools, providing students with practical computer skills and exposure to digital technologies. This is crucial in ensuring that students in rural communities are not left behind in the shift towards technology-driven education.
