Adinkra Fellowship Announces Inaugural 2026 Cohort of Global Black Leaders. City, Country — The Adinkra Fellowship, a global leadership initiative dedicated to identifying and elevating Black leaders under the age of 40, has announced its 2026 Cohort. This distinguished group of twenty individuals has been selected from a pool of 1,257 applicants from 84 countries across Africa and the global diaspora.
The selected Fellows represent a diverse range of fields, including technology, governance, education, entrepreneurship, and community development. The Adinkra Fellowship, co — founded by Imani Missouri and Meron Fikru, aims to strengthen ties between Africa and its diaspora through mentorship, peer exchange, and collaborative leadership experiences.
As part of the 2026 program, the Fellows will gather in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, from February 12 to 15, 2026, for an in-person immersion featuring high-level dialogues, cultural engagements, and collaborative work.
The selection process was independently overseen by a distinguished jury, ensuring a rigorous and credible process.
The Adinkra Fellowship also plans to bestow Special Honors recognizing Career Achievement and Outstanding Black Leadership, celebrating individuals whose work has expanded pathways for Black excellence worldwide.
The Adinkra Alliance Institute, founded in 2023, is dedicated to advancing leadership, development, and positive impact across diverse communities worldwide.
