Libreville, Gabon — The vibrant city of Libreville is set to host the first-ever Gabon Educ Tour 2026 from April 15 to 30, 2026. This groundbreaking event, organized by the Gabonese government, aims to showcase the nation’s tourism potential. The event will take place at the scenic Baie des Rois and extend across various locations throughout the country, according to the Gabonese Press Agency.
The Gabon Educ Tour 2026 will feature a diverse range of activities, including exhibitions, conferences, business-to-business meetings, and guided tours. The central theme of the event is sustainable tourism, with an expected participation of over 400 individuals and 90 exhibiting entities. Industry professionals and visitors will engage in discussions and experiences that highlight Gabon’s hotels, lodges, travel agencies, and national parks.
In a move to explore destinations beyond the city limits, participants will have the opportunity to visit places such as Pointe — Denis, Lambaréné, Fougamou, Tchibanga, Mayumba, and the Loango National Park. Local businesses will leverage this occasion to expand their networks and promote their offerings.
The Gabon Educ Tour 2026 also serves as a platform for capacity building and empowerment. For instance, in the region of Woleu-Ntem, Jules Djeki is launching a workshop focused on the autonomy of women. Additionally, the Ogooué-Maritime region has launched a sports fishing competition, and the country is introducing free digital skills training for 150 young Gabonese.
In parallel with the tourism promotion efforts, the Gabonese government is taking steps to improve various sectors. The Central Procurement Agency is set to become operational, aiming to regulate the market. Moreover, 1,000 young Gabonese are being offered free training in digital professions, and a new patrol boat, EHD BOMBA 750, has been launched for maritime security and fishery surveillance.
