LIBREVILLE, 4 April 2026 (AGP) – The General Director of Public Accounts and the Treasury, Luther Steeven Abouna Yangui, greeted the 8th promotion of the Institute of Economics and Finance (IEF) at a ceremony held in Libreville on Friday.
The graduates, who are set to strengthen the services of Gabon’s public Treasury from next week, were observed by the Gabonese Press Agency (AGP).
The class is composed of 49 students, all serving as central Treasury inspectors. During the event, the General Director extended his congratulations to the graduates and offered them advice on the demands of their upcoming duties. He emphasized the need for rigor, discipline, loyalty, and a high sense of public service as they take on their future responsibilities.
The new agents committed to serving the state with integrity, responsibility, and dedication. They also expressed their gratitude to President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, whose will to revive public employment, through the unfreezing of recruitments in the civil service, made their training and upcoming integration possible.
The arrival of this new cohort reflects the determination of top authorities to enhance the capabilities of the public administration and to strengthen the quality of service provided to users.
The Gabonese Treasury has welcomed this addition of trained and ready human resources to contribute to the effective management of public finances.
