OYEM, 31 March 2026 (AGP) – A consulting firm’s team, tasked with the technical and architectural studies for the Budget Support Project for the Health Sector (PABSS) in Gabon, has commenced work in Oyem, the capital of Woleu-Ntem province in northern Gabon. The mission, which began on Monday, aims to gather data and conduct a diagnostic assessment of 14 designated sites within the province.
The project is financially supported by the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) and is part of Gabon’s National Health Development Plan 2024-2028. It focuses on enhancing basic health care units, reinforcing the National Pharmaceutical Office, and improving the drug supply chain’s reliability. In Woleu-Ntem specifically, the project entails the rehabilitation and construction of 14 health care units, as well as the development of an amphitheater at the Provincial School of Social and Health Training (EPFASS).
