The GFA made the announcement without providing details on a replacement or the reasons for the termination. Addo, who has been with the team for his second spell, had previously served as an interim coach in 2022, including at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Ghana, participating in the World Cup for the fifth time, is set to face Panama in its opening match on June 17 in Toronto.
