President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema’s decision was communicated in a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as reported by the Gabonese Press Agency.
According to the communiqué, this measure prioritizes Gabonese individuals already registered with Gabon’s diplomatic and consular representations in the affected areas.
The government is urging any Gabonese willing to repatriate but yet to report their intention to do so to register with the Cellule de veille et d’assistance d’urgence (CVAU) at their earliest convenience.
