Artists from Africa and the Diaspora will converge in New York on Sept 19-21st in Harlem, for the Let Art Speak The Future program, a pre UN Summit of The Future event. The purpose is to bring together writers, artists, spoken word artists, musicians, dancers, film makers, visual artists and other genres to sit down together to create a vision for the future.
Coumba Toure, Chair of TrustAfrica explains, “This September, World leaders are meeting in NY at the Summit of the Future to adopt the Pact of the Future for the World. We are working with AU Ecosocc, Priority Africa Network and other Pan African organizations to convene civil society leaders from the continent to also come to NY and be part of the same conversation about the future of the world. We wanted to do it ahead of the UN Summit.
