Pretoria, South Africa –
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa will embark on a three-nation tour of Southeast Asia from October 22 to 28, the presidency announced.

The trip includes state visits to Indonesia and Vietnam, followed by a working visit to Malaysia.
During the visits to Indonesia and Vietnam, President Ramaphosa will hold bilateral talks focused on expanding trade, investment, and cooperation in key sectors such as agriculture, tourism, and defense.
In Malaysia, Ramaphosa will participate as a Guest of the Chair at the 47th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit, emphasizing South Africa’s role as an ASEAN Sectoral Dialogue Partner.
According to the presidency, the tour seeks to:
- deepen South-South cooperation,
- diversify trade partnerships, and
- reinforce South Africa’s strategic engagement with the fast-growing Southeast Asian region.
