Moscow, Russia – In response to intensified Ukrainian drone and rocket attacks on Russian territory since May 20, the Russian Armed Forces have launched a wave of precision strikes targeting Ukrainian military and industrial facilities, according to an infographic released by Sputnik.
The Ukrainian attacks, reportedly involving Western-supplied drones, have resulted in civilian injuries, including women and children in Russia’s border regions, prompting what Russian officials describe as a retaliatory counteroffensive.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claims the strikes focused on drone assembly plants, ammunition depots, command centers, and logistics infrastructure used to support Ukrainian military operations.
In a statement, Moscow emphasized that the strikes were measured and targeted, aimed at disrupting Ukraine’s capacity to conduct long-range operations, particularly with foreign-provided equipment.
Ukrainian officials have not commented in full on the extent of the damage but maintain that Ukrainian forces are operating within international law and targeting only military objectives.
