The plan comes in response to the nation’s pressing needs, as highlighted by officials and stakeholders.
According to the government’s statement, the meeting on January 7 involved Economy and Budget ministers, alongside administrators under their jurisdiction.
On January 9, the ministers of Access to Universal Water and Energy, Philippe Tonangoye, and of Housing, Urbanism, and Cadastre, Mays Mouissi, presented their departmental priorities under the 100-day plan.
The Vice — President of the government emphasized the need for tangible and sustainable results, stating, “The Gabonese people expect rapid, tangible, and durable actions from the government.”.
He highlighted the importance of the water and energy sectors as key indicators of the government’s success.
In the energy sector, the plan includes the completion of the Kinguélé Aval hydroelectric project, which is expected to produce nearly 135 megawatts of electricity, significantly improving supply in Grand Libreville.
The Ministry of Water and Energy also aims to enhance potable water supply in several Libreville neighborhoods and intensify rural water well drilling nationwide.
