Moscow, Russia –
Ethiopia’s Foreign Minister, Gedion Timothewos, is set to visit Moscow for high-level discussions and a technology-focused tour on Monday and Tuesday, according to Ethiopia’s embassy in Russia.
The visit includes a scheduled meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Tuesday, alongside other diplomatic engagements and a visit to Skolkovo, Russia’s premier innovation hub.
This trip marks another step in the growing partnership between the two nations.
In September, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed attended Moscow’s World Atomic Week Forum, met with President Vladimir Putin, and signed an action plan advancing Ethiopia’s nuclear power project.
Earlier in February, the Chair of Russia’s upper house of parliament, Valentina Matvienko, met with Ethiopia’s President and Prime Minister, reaffirming commitments to deepen bilateral and international cooperation.
