With a view to foster African growth, the African Development Bank (AfDB) supports different infrastructure projects on the continent. In February, the bank signed a financing agreement with Tanzania, providing the country with $91.76 million for the construction of a railway, connecting Tanzania, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The African Development Bank (AfDB) works on 1,512 km Ethiopia-Sudan rail project, the media reported.
According to the outlet, the road will connect the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, with the Sudanese Red Sea port of Port Sudan. A total of 594 km of railway will be laid on Ethiopian territory, while 918 km on Sudanese territory.
