The ๐€๐Ÿ๐ซ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ง ๐”๐ง๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐ฏ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐ง ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐š๐ง๐ ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐›๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐‚๐จ๐ซ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง (AUCPCC) was adopted in Maputo, Mozambique on 11 July 2003 and came into force in 2006.

To date, the Convention has been ratified by ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ– ๐Œ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ ๐’๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ฌ of the African Union. Since adoption of the Convention, African Union Member States have made significant efforts in the fight against corruption including the establishment of national laws and the creation of anti-corruption agencies.
